After a night full of lively music and homemade treats, RAGBRAI cyclists got up and early to dip their rear tire into the Rock River.

A RAGBRAI tradition, cyclists dip their tire in to commemorate the start of a sweaty, grueling, but fun ride.

“I’m excited to have an adventure with my mom,” said Mairead Beane, 28 of Minneapolis.

And what’s Beane’s mom excited for?

“Pie, pie, pie,” said Marie Kelly, 64, of Forest City.

As cyclists trek through various towns and meet in Sheldon for the meeting town, Kelly is sure to find her sweet treat.
