The Iowa Bicycle Coalition is excited to announce the hiring of Michelle Barker for the role of Membership Manager. Barker has an extensive background in cycling advocacy and nonprofit work including working for the International Mountain Bicycling Association and managing local nonprofits. This will be her tenth year working in the bicycle industry.

“Iowa is a state with great bicycling and I look forward to riding with those who love biking on dirt, gravel, and pavement,” says Barker.

“We’re thrilled to have Michelle on our team as her past experiences with cycling nonprofits and her love of riding bikes aligns directly with our goals and mission,“ notes Mark Wyatt, Executive Director.

The Iowa Bicycle Coalition is a membership-based nonprofit that promotes better bicycling in Iowa through programs and events including Safe Routes to Schools, Ride Right, and Route Announcement Party. Learn more about the organization here.
