Iowa is the number one corn producing state in the nation we even grown more corn here than many countries! But, the really cool thing about corn in Iowa is the farmer. We challenge you to find out more about Iowa’s real life farmers by looking each day for the farmer along the RAGBRAI route.

This year, Iowa Corn has added a scavenger hunt for RAGBRAI riders with “Find the Farmer” 8-foot cutouts along the route. Six local farmers are featured on eight foot signs with facts about the corn industry. They are along the route near Milford, Emmetsburg, Waverly, Independence, Mason City and Forest City. RAGBRAI’s theme featuring an ear of corn is representative of Iowa, as Iowa Corn.  You can log onto iowacorn.org/ragbrai  to watch videos from farmers and to sign up to win Iowa Corn “ears and gears” shirts.

As a bonus, at the first two locations (Ritter and Emmetsburg) you will not only get to “find a farmer” sign, but you will get to meet farmers with refreshments and a “bathroom” in the cornfield.

Don’t forget to log onto iowacorn.org/ragbrai to sign up to win, meet Iowa farmers and see why ears and gears in Iowa just seem to go together!

Iowa Corn is a proud Friend of RAGBRAI!
