A section of the popular Great Western Trail in Des Moines would no longer pass through Willow Creek Golf Course, under a plan being pursued by the course’s owner.
The West Des Moines City Council is expected to vote Monday to hire an engineering firm that will analyze whether a section of trail can be moved from the middle of the golf course to its perimeter, part of which would be next to Army Post Road.
