9:30 p.m.: So far, there have been no major public safety issues at the concert and festival along the Walnut and Court Ave. bridges, police say.
Things were so low-key that officers were posing for iPhone portraits and fist-bumping with partiers as Live performed.
“It seems like everyone’s behaving and being responsible,” said Sgt. Bernell Edwards with the Des Moines Police Department.
Edwards said the only incident so far was when a drunk concertgoer tried to approach one of the bands and was asked to leave.
Asked whether drunk behavior was the main concern for police, Edwards said, “If it was about drinking, that would be everybody.”
