KIMBALLTON — Wanted: 2008 RAGBRAI mug.
Barbara McNeal has been searching for the mug for five years.
After scouring eBay, checking with RAGBRAI organizers and using online forums with no luck McNeal turned to the route.
A cardboard sign on the side of her bike spells out the request.
“It’s the only one I haven’t been able to find anywhere,” McNeal said. “I’m hoping today will be the day.”
She has the rest of the collection, including this year’s, hanging above her fireplace in Tallahassee, Fla.
“I drink a lot of coffee,” McNeal joked.
The Quad Cities native is riding her 33rd RAGBRAI this year. For the past 25 years she’s been riding both directions. McNeal and a group of friends started in Fort Madison about eight days ago.
“It’s almost more fun than this,” she said.
