Tomorrow is a key hearing on trail funding at the Iowa State Capitol. We need bike and trail advocates to contact their legislators.
There are two ways to help:
1. You can send a quick email to your legislators. We make this really easy.
2. Speak up at the subcommittee hearing tomorrow. It is at 8:30 AM in Room G17 at the Iowa State Capitol. Or join via Zoom.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to establish transformational trail funding. The Iowa Senate is considering SSB3157 which would finally fund the Natural Resources and Outdoor Recreation Trust Fund more than a decade after being approved by voters.
If the original formula passes, Iowa could start building up to 4 times the miles of trails currently funded.
